PRESENTS
Live PlantS!
This ebay ad is for 5
VIRGINIA CREEPER PLANTS
The plantS will be between 2 to 9 inches or larger and ready to grow and spread beautifully for you!
These plants naturally have what is called 'adventuous' very tiny shallow root systems!
I plant these all over the fences and walls here in Alabama, and the fall color is
BREATHTAKINGLY
BEAUTIFUL!
Works GREAT in AND ON fences, chimneys, hillsides where grass is ridiculous to cut, containers, beds, borders, wherever!
The Virginia Creeper, Parthenocissus quinquefolia, is a fast-growing and high-climbing vine that attaches itself with tendrils which expand very disk-like, on their tips.
The deciduous leaves beautifully radiate outward from a leaf stem, like spokes on a wheel, and some might say, in a strange way, resemble hemp.
Each leaflet is approx 3 to 6 inches long and an inch or two wide.
The leaves turn fiery red in fall and are absolutly breath-takingly beautiful!
The individual flowers are tiny and inconspicuous, and arranged in elaborate long-stemmed clusters, with each flower at the tip of its own flower stem.
The berries are blue-black, less than a half-inch across and birds of all types LOVE to eat them!
Virginia creeper will thrive in most soils, in sun or shade, with or without a structure to climb on.
Virginia creeper is favored for its brilliant fall foliage and as a manitenance-free ground cover.
Where there is nothing to climb, it attaches to the ground with adventitious roots, and makes an excellent cover for slopes or other places where grass is not practical or desired.
Just use your imagination!
Loves sun, but does OK in part sun/shade!
I fertilize mine a few times over spring & summer for more & FASTER growth.
You will LOVE this plant!
A true beauty in any & every garden for sure!
Zones 3 to 11
Comes back from ground every spring even if freezing occurs, just mulch, one tough plant!
I ship mostly bare root, with some little bit of soil-less mix still there, in a moistened container.
Live plants are ONLY shipped out on Mondays and Tuesdays, to avoid any weekend layovers at the Post Office.

Plant info...
Please read before and after bidding/buying!
Hello there, Thanks for purchasing LIVE PLANTS from Modern Jungle! Your plants will be carefully dug up, washed, possibly clipped or pruned a little if needed, moist-paper-towel and plastic bag wrapped, and shipped mostly bare root only on the NEXT MONDAY or TUESDAY after we have received your payment in FULL. We ONLY ship LIVE plant material out on Mondays and Tuesdays to avoid possibilities of postal layovers over the weekends, which would stress the plants! We reserve the right in EXTREME weather conditions of HEAT or FREEZING, or prolonged holiday situations, to wait until the following Monday or Tuesday to ship, but will definatly e-mail you through the eBay system to let you know!
We want your plants to make it to you safe and sound, and for you to be a repeat customer to join our already very happy repeat customers!
Please be sure to have a flower pot(s) filled with pre-moistened, premium grade potting medium prepared for them, as they will arrive soon, bare root.
All plants ship out Priority Mail!
As soon as you get them, please go ahead and carefully un-wrap them, take them out of their moistened paper and plastic bag, and plant them into your pre-moistened potting medium filled flower pots. Give them a good drink of water, and put them outside, (weather permitting), in a very shady area, for the first few days to a week or two. Gradually, move them out into a more sunny area, little by little, day by day, as they begin to pick back-up from shipping.
You are responsible for
accepting delivery of your order!
Please understand that you are responsible for accepting delivery of your order.
Please ensure that someone will at least be home to accept the package
and
BRING IT INSIDE, OUT OF HOT SUMMER
OR
FREEZING WINTER WEATHER!
After a few unsuccessful delivery attempts the package would be returned to us. Due to the perishable nature of our plants (and the fact that approximately one to two weeks will have elapsed by the time a shipment is returned to us), no refunds can OR WILL be given nor can replacement plants be reshipped.
If the plants are lucky, and not in a 200 degree frying hot black mailbox in direct full sun, then they may survive that long and could be reshipped - but you would have to pay for the shipping and handling costs to reship.
Note that we usually always take Memorial Day, the 4th of July, Labor day, Thanksgiving and Christmas off.
Unpacking your order...
It is important that you open your boxe(s) immediately, slowly and carefully remove the packing material from the plants, and check for moisture. If your order includes any sensitive plants, primarily vines, like Trumpet Vines, or Virginia Creeper, stand them upright and keep them moist and cool. The two mentioned species just LOVE to throw off all their leaves, and "Play Dead" It is their natural secret weapon as a defense mechanism, because they are so invasive in proper growing conditions in the wild. Basically it would take a BLOWTORCH set on high to kill these two plants, and that is only what ever you have cut off, and is still NOT attached into the ground by any root system at all, which they will vigorously always come right back from! Hah!
Please understand that although we ship very healthy plants they may suffer somewhat from shipping.
No matter how carefully we pack, rough handling and temperature may cause one or more of the following:
Yellowing leaves...mostly on hostas and daylilies.
It's best to cut tops back when planting and let them send up new foliage. Often they are cut some or all by us before shipping.
Loss of leaves...mostly on the more vine type plants like Virginia Creepers and Trumpet Vines.
Plant immediately and keep well draining soil evenly moist.
They will always come back out and right up after a few days or weeks!
Dry roots... Moisten immediately and hold in cool area until ready to plant.
Bent or broken leaves/stems mostly on the larger and more sensitive materials such as ferns, echinacea, sedums, etc... Cut off any damage, these plants recuperate quickly with new fresh growth.
Please understand that such cosmetic damage is ONLY temporary and that the plants and root systems will recover quickly and you will be rewarded with excellent plants at an excellent value!
Due to the perishable nature of our LIVE PLANT merchandise, we cannot accept any returns!
Thanks!
